"Our vision of DaFactory was to be a gathering place of glassblowing and multi-media artists who together would create a unique creative energy and magnificent works of art in glass," says DaFactory's Bobby Smith and Jason Harris. "With the ‘First Saturday Art Walks,' we have been able to have members of the community and their families participate in this creative process and watch our artists make amazing art pieces in front of their eyes and with them being an integral part of it."

Beginning at 5:00 pm and continuing through 9:00 pm, master glassblower Charles Lowrie will lead DaFactory glass and multimedia artists in a theatrical glassblowing demonstration with the local sounds of Mana'o Radio's Robbie Ray. Charles' latest body of work entitled "Transcensions" will transport the viewer to a sphere of consciousness through color and form, and will be on display that evening in DaFactory's gallery showroom. His first piece in the "Transcensions" series was entitled "Sphere of Consciousness," a one-of-a-kind glass sphere with a lotus flower inside, was presented to His Holiness Dali Lama during his visit to Maui last year.

At 6:30 pm, the red carpet will be literally rolled out with an exciting fashion show hosted by Voyage East, a unique emporium of furnishings and treasures from the Near and Far East also located at the Pauwela Cannery. Wings Hawaii will unveil their new spring fashion line on the runway along with the new styles from Kickback Hawaii, Chicks with Sticks and To Da Max Bikinis.
